The main peculiarity of this big Pekignese figure is that it is made of an unbroken piece of anhydride, a mineral that is not very frequent in the nature. This unique dog sculpture has been expertly crafted and polished by hand. The artist skilfully used the natural beauty of the stone, its color variations to show the elegance of pekingeses. It would be interesting to know that the Pekingese was held sacred in China in ancient times, the land of its origin and it was first registered by the AKC in 1906.
