"Molnija" Watch Factory is based in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Chelyabinsk is well-known as an industrial center of Southern Urals (Ural Mountains divide Russia roughly in half: from North to South). "Molnija" [moh-l-nee-yah] is the Russian word for "lightning".
