This lovely salt-cellar sure will create a festive atmosthere at your home. It has been handpainted by craftsmen from Russian North according to the folk art traditions.
The Mezen style in which it was made it is very archaic painting in the regions of the White Sea. It is executed in two colors – red and black, on the natural wooden surface, because in the ancient times they were the most simple to get. For the red one the ancient artists used brick earth and for the black one – soot.
