Shawls have been a part of traditional Russian Women’s costumes since the 18th Century. The most well known Russian shawls are those made in Orenburg. Russians that settled in Ural Mountain needed something very warm able to withstand the winters. This beautiful white shawl has been made of the Orenburg goat down.
