In 30s of the previous century, first artels started to organize, producing Orenburg down shawls. Also there was a large down knitting union created, producing Orenburg down shawls and tippets.
In 1939 there was a small trade down Artel named by “Commune of Paris” organized, producing down shawls. Since 1960 year the name of the Artel was changed to the “Factory of Orenburg Down Shawls” and in 1993 it was reorganized into public corporation “Orenshal”.
“Orenshal” today is a successful enterprise. Keeping tradition, “Orenshal” uses only natural raw materials and avoid synthetic fibres. All the shawls are produced on modern equipment.
