Solovetsky Monastery, one of the most famous monasteries in Russia located on the Solovetskiye Islands (Solovki) of the White Sea. Under the Soviets, the monastery was first proclaimed to be "a working team", yet when the buildings were set on fire in 1923, the monks were turned out and the archipelago was transformed into the notorious Solovetskiye "special labor camps". The Divine Service was restored on the islands in 1990.
