We are pleased to offer a selection of Russian icons from the village of Sofrino, located just outside Moscow. These icons are high-quality reproductions of beautiful icons, decorated with metallic ink. All icons from the Sofrino factory are blessed by the Russian Orthodox Church.
According to tradition, this image was painted in Gethsemane by the holy Evangelist Luke in the fifteenth year after the Ascension of the Lord. Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God is in a wooden base with stamping and annotation.
