This magnet features the famous cruiser Aurora. On 25 October (7 November) 1917, a blank shot from the Aurora served as the signal for the storming of the Winter Palace, seat of the Provisional Government. Since 1948 the cruiser has been anchored permanently in the city, and since 1956 it houses a branch of the Naval Museum.
