The famous Russian Company “Rekord” Watch-Making Company” Ltd., SOYUZ brand owner and one of the leaders of the Russian watch market, has presented its brand at the International Watch Exhibition BASELWORLD 2006 upon the overwhelming success at the INHORGENTA 2006 Exhibition.
Rekord Watch-Making Company Ltd. originated in 1993 when Petrosov family launched their watch business in Moscow.
Main activities that time laid in production of bespoke watches ordered by Russian state and commercial organizations.
With the project progressing successfully the idea of amplifying it by creation of the Company’s own brands became workable over some years time.
Thus in 1999 the rights for Rekord and SOYUZ trademarks were acquired. It was concluded to develop several collections under Rekord name for the markets of Russia and other ex-Soviet Republics. Thereby Rekord became an umbrella brand incorporating five collections, each with its own philosophy, market positioning in various price segments and targeting at dissimilar customer groups. The main stress was made on the two series of mechanical watches including those with complicated features.
